JRC is more than a congregation - we are a community of friends and an extended family. Located in Evanston, Illinois, our members come from all parts of Chicago and its suburbs. We are an inclusive congregation, reflecting the rich diversity of the American Jewish community. Some of our members have strong Jewish backgrounds while others are taking their first steps into Jewish life. Our JRC family includes interfaith families, blended families, young people, senior adults, and gays and lesbians. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our congregational community. For specific information, please call our office.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS

Ready, Set, Grow!

The Landscape Committee is putting together a series of 5-10 notecards to raise funds for our "green" garden and promote JRC.

If you'd like to submit your artwork, here are the guidelines:

Card size - 5"x3.75", vertical or horizontal (a sheet of letter paper folded in quarters with 1/4" from each side). No bleeding edges.

Medium - any media is acceptable provided it can be scanned/ photographed at high resolution (300ppi).

Subject Matter - should be inspired by the plants and flowers found in our garden.

Deadline - Monday, September 1, 2008.

Send to - Darlene Grossman

Pieces to be included in the series will be decided by select Committee members. All submissions are considered a donation, although your name and copyright 2008 will appear on the back of the card. And you'll earn kvelling rights!

Visit Rabbi Rosen's blog to read about our congregation's commitment to creating a sustainable shul, related in his Construction Diaries.

To schedule a docent-led tour of the building, please call the JRC Office at 847-328-7678.
